One Response to Libraries and Museums Bring Communities Together During Difficult Times

  1. These are trying times. It is important that we all remember the uncertainty facing our youngest citizens. Children’s museums across the nation have provided a safe, fun gathering place for children and for their adult care givers. With the increase in violence that seems to becoming our “new norm” it is increasing essential that those who manage those community resources ensure their institutions reach out in new ways to open the doors to every child. It is tragic that the image of Martin or the young children of Newtown are in so many minds, may it remind us of the essential nature of telling our children we love them as often as possible. Please consider taking a child to a children’s museum and celebrate the joy they experience.
