  1. We have been a small museum testing site for Art Beyond Sight – evaluating focus group and training materials. We are hosting our second Art Beyond Sight Open House this fall and are sponsoring city-wide docent training, as well.
The programs and materials have helped us expand our audiences and improved our services for everyone who visits the museum.
Kudos to Art Beyond Sight and I highly recommend integrating their materials and programs.

    This is a great idea…

I know from first hand experience that even someone with vision problems can still enjoy the wonders of being in a museum. My grandfather in old age had lost most of his site but we would still visit the vancouver museum together and I would describe some of the displays and read the information to him! And not once did he seem to enjoy it any less because of his disability.

People with disabilities need MORE reasons to get out and be around people and partake in the activities that the rest of us take for granted.

Really happy someone is making a big push for this.

    Sincerely,
    Tyler.
